We’ve just released enSilo version 1.2.6, which enables our customers to seamlessly deploy enSilo on VMware based Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments.
Increasingly, enterprises are taking advantage of the cost savings VDI environments offer. VDI platforms reduce the enterprise’s reliance on costly endpoint devices and greatly simplify ongoing operations, with a single image that can be centrally managed, updated, upgraded, etc.
While VDI enables enterprises to take desktop environments and move them to their data center, it does not take away the risks of those environments. The desktop is still vulnerable to viruses, malware and advanced attacks, whether it is running in the data center or an office cubicle.
Enterprises must protect their virtual environment the same way they protect their physical one, which means security measures must be integrated directly into their VDI environment to support secure, ongoing operations.
As of this new version, enSilo now seamlessly integrates with VMware Horizon™ to deliver the strong security enterprises need to safely support the mobility and flexibility users demand.
